Acting as a Bookmaker

For all systems and staking type talk, hopefully fuelling debate and interesting discussion.

No bets yesterday or today. There's not a lot to separate the teams in the champions league semi final matches in terms of the odds but now that Bayern look like they're through to the final I may consider laying them if their price to win looks too short.

I think there could be an overreaction to their 4-0 first leg win.

Bayern are 1.73 but Real Madrid are stil being priced as if they have a chance so I reckon I will wait until the final to lay Munich and hopefully we'll see 1.5.

Tonight it's the darts and time to lay Taylor and MVG who are massive odds on favs again:

BET 29 - Lay Taylor(v Lewis) at 1.42
BET 30 - Lay MVG(v WHITLOCK) at 1.45
BET 31 - Lay Taylor(v Whitlock) at 1.48

A little better than break even last night with only 1 of the short prices getting beat with MVG losing to Whitlock.

Profit/Loss: £32.40

Taking on the Rocket Ronnie O'Sullivan and laying him to win the Betfair World Championships. I don't know too much about Snooker tbh but I know he's the favourite and there must be a lot of sentimental money on him, much like Tiger Woods in the Golf Masters.

Going to try and stick to really high profile events like this now.

BET 32 - Lay Ronnie O'Sullivan(v Field) at 4.2

Not looking goood for the Ronnie lay as he's in the semis and odds on now.

He's playing Judd Trump in the semi and it should be a good match.

Not looking too good this feature, what with Ronnie winning the World Championships. Should I continue this... hmmm....

You need to take a much longer view than this.
Don't forget the bookmakers will also be laying bets on various other selections that have little chance of winning too.

I kind of gave up on this Kittrad but perhaps it was too early.

I still think you can do well out of going against public belief/opinion but you have to be VERY patient!
