Cheers Terry. Yes that is probably true and the article that inspired me to do this mentions the bookies lost big at Cheltenham. But they are still very profitable overall and will have made a lot on Tiger Woods failing to win the masters and other big sporting favourites losing too.

The article is here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/2013/apr/15/ladbrokes-issues-shock-profit-warning

Nadal came close to losing but came through in an epic match agaisnt a very promising Dimitrov. Djokovic looks like he's going to win so no luck there either.

One more bet for today and it's on the footy. Hull look too short tonight and I've layed at 1.42 with most booies happy to lay at 1.4.

BET 10 - Lay Hull (v Bristol City) at 1.42

Took Celtic at 1.35 and Nadal at 1.49 yesterday.

Celtic won but Nadal lost bringing th eprofit/loss up to -£30.40.

I'm stil pretty pleased with that as it was a weekend where so many favs won and we've only had 7 winning bets from 27 and to be only £30 down is damn good.

I'm beginning to think that it's only the very big gme favs I should be laying really though. The bookies are going to take a hell of a lot more money on Barcelon and Man United than they are on Mansfireld Town and consequently the odds should be that much lower than the real probability because these games affect their bottom line more. So I am going to cease picking the lower league matches.

I've created a spread sheet so you can see the history of all the bets and I'll upload and post a link to later but for now here's the summary:

TOTAL WINNERS: 7
TOTAL LOSERS: 27
RUNNING TOTAL -£30.40

One bet for today and it's obviously got to be a lay of Man Utd at 1.25. The price is pretty damn short and I don't seethat it cano much shorter so I'm happy to take it now.

BET 28 - Lay Man Utd (v Aston Villa) at 1.25

United won easily like I thought they would to be honest. Butthe price was ridiculously short and that loss makes it -£32.90.

I can't believe it's only that much considering how many losers we've had! It so much easier to take and to get back into profit.

Here is a link to the spread sheet I promised: http://www.bettingtools.co.uk/acting-as-a-bookmaker.xlsx
