  • Michael Smith is one of the most talented darts players on the PDC circuit. I actually wanted to tip him yesterday but didn't get chance and now I'm left regretting it because he was available at 50/1. Now that Michael Van Geerwen is out he has a much better chance of winning though and I still think 12s is a decent price.
  • Smith faces Barney in the quarters and he has won the last 3 meetings against him. If he wins that he faces Adrian Lewis who he holds a 7-3 winning record against.
  • Either Andserson, Wade or Taylor should reach the final on the other side of the draw and he's certainly capabale of beating those on current form, having averaged over 100 in the last 2 rounds. Anderson is playing well but the pressure on the doubles could get to him
  • Smith reminds me very much of Adrian Lewis when he first came on the scene and whom I back at 22/1 whne he won his first World Championship. He can go off the boil but he's capable of beating anyone and everyone. I think Smith could seize his opportunity now that MVG is out and Taylor is playing poorly.

I do like the world championships but only just started watching this year. Wide open this year now MVG is out but Taylor will be determined to prove the doubters wrong.

I actually have a darts board in the Kitchen but I am pretty terrible and there's a lot of holes in the walls!

My Mum and Dads house is full of hundreds of darts and pool trophies. They were both the captains of lots of teams over the years and I inherited their pool skills but can't throw a dart to save my life. Maybe 50% hit the board lol

When I said I spent my whole childhood in pubs and clubs, I wasn't joking lol. If they weren't there to kick ass at pool or darts, they were there to watch footie lol!

I've backed Taylor myself took 13/2 hes got to play better though maybe he should take a few viagra that would make him hard to beat.

Your Mum and Dad sound like right legends Tracy!
LOL ST it's definitely a big price and he's been awesome on the practice boards by his own accounts... I guess it depends on whether he's been working on his fitness much this year.
Brian said on 30 Dec 15 21:05
Yes I suppose they are lol!

Fitness? to play darts?
Tracy2014 said on 30 Dec 15 21:34
Haha yes he's often talking about him working on his fitness in interviews... always makes me chuckle and don't know how he says it with a straight face

Not sure how Taylor is still in this! If he gets through this it will be some mental effort.

I'm on the Amaretto and coke now... a bit girly but tasty!

Taylor out! His excuse? Not fit enough. I told you fitness was key ;)
