Thanks Brian

i am keen to work on a joint project and if you want to research odds movements in greater detail let me know. I've got plenty of ideas (that won't be on the NEWS). It may have to go undercover at some point though.

Market activity is effectively a "smoking gun" that leaves a telling paper trail.

SHINE A LIGHT!

Brian i think it would be much better all round if we could show win%

eg...
Table for Horse Racing in October... *(dayend 02oct16)
***********************************

Pos Name.............W/L.........Profit£......Strike Rate
13..Dynamite21....1/2......... -20.00 .........33.3%

Pos Name.............W/P/T......Profit£.....Win Strike......Plc Strike
13..Dynamite21.....0/1/3..... -20.00 ...........0%...............33.3%

*T =tips

ps. i am working on a post to change tipster's perspective with regard to losing runs. I have found out something quite surprising :o

Ah yes of course, I think I listed these two with main market odds and not ante-post. I will get these corrected.

Thanks for spotting.

Evening

Is it possible to add an option to add write ups to existing tips?

At the moment We have selections ready between 5 and 7 every night. All tips are thoroughly researched but it's done between other things on an old iPhone 5 with a smashed screen. It's a busy time between 5 and 9 getting on early prices for all we back. Write ups would usually be available later in the evening or the next morning for anyone that prefers to look at reasoning before backing.

Cheers

Brilliant sugestion Pointage. I will get this implemented certainly.

I didn't want to have an edit button originally as I was concerned about the odds being updated too but edit to add reasoning would only have a positive effect I think.

Cheers

I've had a further think about this one and I now remember why I didn't implement this last time someone asked. We want to encourage reasoning at the time of tipping otherwise tipsters forget or think I'll add it later and not remember to do it. Anyone following is also unlikely to recheck the tip for reasoning later.

So I think that we'll keep that as is for the time being and I encourage anyone wanting to add extra info after they've tipped to do it in the comments section please.

The update I am working on though is variable staking as a lot of people have asked about this before. This won't be shown on the main tables but I hope to show alternative pages/sections with these comparisons. The thing to remember with variable stakes that profitable tipsters will almost certainly show bigger profits and the only fair way to test is to sum up all the variable stakes and divide it by the number of tips to get an average level stake. I plan to show this info too.

At the moment, I am thinking of 5 points, 10 points (default), 20 points and 30 points. Is this enough of a range do we think?

I would like to SEE an individual's hit count for Tipster's reasoning. It would be nice to see the desert bloom.
